User Driven Two-Dimensional Computer-Generated Ornamentation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Hand drawn ornamentation, such as floral or geometric patterns, is a tedious and time consuming task that requires skill and training in ornamental design principles and aesthetics. Ornamental drawings both historically and presently play critical roles in all things from art to architecture, and when computers handle the repetition and overall structure of ornament, considerable savings in time and money can result. Due to the importance of keeping an artist in the loop, we present an application, designed and implemented utilizing a user-driven global planning strategy, to help guide the generation of two-dimensional ornament. The system allows for the creation of beautiful, organic ornamental 2D art which follows a user-defined curve. We present the application and the algorithmic approaches used. Fig. 1. Comparison of MLP NN Approach with PCA and ICA for Extraction of Hidden Regulatory Signals in Biological Networks
The biologists now face with the masses of high dimensional datasets generated from various high-throughput technologies, which are outputs of complex inter-connected biological networks at different levels driven by a number of hidden regulatory signals. So far, many computational and statistical methods such as PCA and ICA have been employed for computing low-dimensional or hidden represe...
متن کاملUsability Evaluation of User Interfaces Generated with a Model-Driven Architecture Tool
Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) has recently attracted interest of both research community and industry corporations. It specifies an automated process of developing interactive applications from high-level models to code generation. This approach can play a key role in the fields of Software Engineering (SE) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). However, although there are some MDA-compliant m...
متن کاملTemplate-based Formula Editing in Kaava
This paper describes a user interface for entering mathematical formulas directly in two-dimensional notation. This interface is part of a small, experimental computer algebra system called Kaava. It demonstrates a data-driven structure editing style that partially accommodates the user's view of formulas as two-dimensional arrangements of symbols on the page.
متن کاملEvent Listener Analysis and Symbolic Execution for Testing GUI Applications
Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) are composed of virtual objects, widgets, which respond to events triggered by user actions. Therefore, test inputs for GUIs are event sequences that mimic user interaction. The nature of these sequences and the values for certain widgets, such as textboxes, causes a two-dimensional combinatorial explosion. In this paper we present Barad, a GUI testing framework...
متن کاملGraph Hybrid Summarization
One solution to process and analysis of massive graphs is summarization. Generating a high quality summary is the main challenge of graph summarization. In the aims of generating a summary with a better quality for a given attributed graph, both structural and attribute similarities must be considered. There are two measures named density and entropy to evaluate the quality of structural and at...
